as much as i would like to pretend to be some pretentous music enthusiast (which i sort of am, minus the pretentious part hopefully) i cannot hide my enjoyment for simple pop music.

i really enjoy lights, (the canadian lady lights, that one.) she's like the female version of adam from owl city (who actually ripped off postal service/deathcab) and her voice is very pleasant. her song quiet is delightful. the instrumental for quiet is very plucky and bouncy yet subdued, it reminds me of having a first crush. there's these little flourishes of pops (like the burst of a bubble) and some backing vocals by lights that really tie it all together. quiet as a song is very sweet and lovely, and that's all there is to say about it really.
