a disclaimer regarding my usage of the word "emo" to describe a fan of mid-2000s pop-punk and pop-rock artists such as fall out boy: "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

 it is officially medumikey4/galaxywars4ever/aguywholikesapples's seventeenth birthday. it is quite literally 12am as i type this up but that is irrelevant. mr. mykhal has had to come to terms with a part of his identity that has been apart of him since infancy. 

his resemblance to 2007 pete wentz is uncanny. maybe the emoness surrounding the year 2007 greatly influenced michael? perhaps the emo got into his developing body and manifested in adolescence, like eyelined radiation. 

for a long time, he tried to deny and hide this aspect of himself. when i introduced him to fall out boy (shortly before he fell in love with them), he denied that he would become emo. after much persuasion, he listened to three cheers for sweet revenge and later the black parade. as for the former, i did not have to pester him into listening to it. he heard bullets a few days ago and enjoyed it, as he did with the other aforementioned mcr albums. this is greatly significant. 

WHY DOES THIS MATTER!?!? you may ask

michael held off on publically stating his enjoyment of my chemical romance with the knowledge that it would worsen the emo allegations that went on to be true. he was a closeted emo. that is, until i outed him in an instagram post congratulating him for surviving another year without a pack of vicious squirrels swooping in to rip off his sideburns. my statement reads as follows:

happy birthday to this guy. he's seventeen now. i put together the final joyous image to congratulate him for coming to terms with a truth that the public will soon know. not that he is gay, although there is much speculation in that sense, but that he is emo. the resemblance to pete wentz of fall out boy is uncanny. on a similar note to being outed as emo, he may or may not come out as homosexual and/or bicurious at some point in the future. if you would like to bet on it, please dm me your cashapp username and i will pay you accordingly once that does/doesn't transpire. you should also listen to his music. he's on spotify and everything, same name as his ig handle. it's ass.

outing him was necessary, i did it in a far superior way and explained his horrid condition in an understanding way so the people around him would understand his emoness. this is so that people are not afraid of him or people like him.

in writing this post, i hope to enlighten the world in regards to michael's horrid condition, in addition to spreading awareness of how it begins. 

PSA: do NOT give birth in a year where an emo artist releases an album, your child could absorb the whinge radiation and suffer later in life as a consequence.
